Para Vidya, or Supreme Knowledge, embodies the highest understanding in Hindu philosophy, guiding seekers towards spiritual liberation. It encompasses the comprehension of Brahman, the ultimate reality transcending the material realm, in contrast to Apara Vidya's focus on mundane knowledge and skills. In Hindu mythology, Shiva's trident holds profound symbolism, with its central part representing the unity of creation, preservation, and dissolution. This unity signifies the interconnectedness of cosmic processes, transcending dualities and leading to the realization of non-duality or Advaita. In this state, individual and universal selves merge, leading to enlightenment and liberation.
"Aghor" is derived from the Sanskrit word "aghora," which means "not terrible" or "not fearsome." Aghoris believe in transcending social taboos and conventions to attain spiritual enlightenment. They are known for their non-dualistic beliefs and their radical approach to spirituality. Aghor Siddhi involves rituals and practices aimed at attaining supernatural powers or Siddhis. Siddhis are psychic abilities or paranormal powers described in Hindu texts, which include abilities like levitation, clairvoyance, telepathy, and so on. Aghoris believe that by mastering these Siddhis, they can accelerate their spiritual progress and ultimately achieve liberation (Moksha) from the cycle of birth and death. It's important to note that Aghor Siddhi and the practices of Aghoris are often misunderstood or misrepresented. While some Aghoris may engage in practices that seem unconventional or even shocking to outsiders, their ultimate goal is spiritual realization and the dissolution of the ego.
